The Team

How It Works

We handcraft jewelry using stones we find from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Every piece of lapidary material is ethically sourced, if not by us, then by someone we know and trust. We source, cut, and polish our stones, and create the jewelry for them that best displays the features within them. Most of our lapidary material hails from central and eastern Oregon, but we have material from California, Arizona, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and even Virginia.

Albus

There are mascots. There are figureheads. There are iconoclasts. Then, there is Albus.

Albus is a lot more than just our brand ambassador, he is the light leading us through the darkness, the wind filling our sails, the wooden pegs guiding the pucks in our cosmic game of Plinko. He is behind every decision, and ahead of every trend. He is everything for which we stand.

Albus’s dream destination is whatever the heck he’s digging towards behind the trash cans.

Brittany

Brittany hails from the wastes of southern California, and brings with her an unparalleled diligence, positivity, and business-savy that keeps this enterprise not only afloat, but constantly challenging its own potential.

Brittany serves as chief researcher, lead lapidary artist, and head of the risk assessment task force. While Addison worries about how best to ford a river, or tries to identify a wading bird, Brittany’s finding the very best lapidary specimens.

Addison

Addison has been picking up seemingly insignificant rocks since he was old enough to get in trouble for leaving them in his pockets, condemning them to tumble in the washing machine. Originally from the humid hills of Northern Virginia, Addison arrived in Portland, Oregon unaware of the myriad of exemplary stones hidden shallow and deep within the beaver state. Now his search for jaspers, agates, and beyond, extends beyond Oregon, and reaches both the nation’s coasts.

Addison serves as Albus Agate’s chief metalsmith, senior yarn-spinner, and camp chef.

Duke

Duke’s accomplishments within Albus Agate are enumerable. He stares piercingly at the rest of the team, ensuring prime efficiency. He wakes up other members of the team bright and early, with his claws, to guarantee they arrive at work on time. Duke tests the strength of many cabochons by batting them off surfaces. Without Duke this entire operation would fall apart.
