This sterling silver split shank ring features an oval cabochon of Graveyard Point Plume Agate.

Graveyard Point is situated in the Owyhee Mountains, right on the border between Oregon and Idaho. Rockhounds have been venturing to this desolate piece of country for its prized Plume Agate, which can be found as clear or rusty chalcedony with colorful patterning within. The agate here formed when hydrothermal fluids filled cracks in dark basalt, the various trace elements present in the water being responsible for the vivid plumes of white, orange, green, and pink. Graveyard Point Plume Agate often occurs in botryoidal or angel wing formations.
