Plasma Agate Ring

This sterling silver split shank ring features an oval cabochon of Plasma Agate.

Plasma Agate comes from Clear Creek, California. The term “agate” is technically a misnomer. Plasma Agate is technically a form of conglomerate, chock full of jade, serpentine, chalcedony, cinnabar, and more. The band of this ring is made from reticulated silver, which is achieved by way of heating and sanding the metal repeatedly until the core of the metal and the outside of the metal melt at different temperatures.
