This brass hairpin features a cabochon of Wonderstone from Fallon, Nevada.
We found this material on our way from Oregon to the East coast, in the Dead Camel Mountains just outside of Fallon, Nevada. Wonderstone is a highly siliceous form of rhyolite, which is created from volcanic ash.
