This hammered, wide band shows off a sizable cabochon of Graveyard Point Plume agate full of feathery white inclusions.
Graveyard Point Plume Agate exists right on the border between Oregon and Idaho, in Owyhee County. This material forms in cracks of basalt in the miocene epoch, and exhibits beautiful plumes in a wide array of colors and patterns. Our trip to Graveyard Point was cut short by a run-in with a rattlesnake, which Addison pointed out, forgot about, and then bent over to continue collecting material.
