Ochoco Blue Jasper Ring

Here we have a sterling silver ring featuring a cabochon of Ochoco Blue Jasper.

When we embarked to Crook County to find red and yellow jasper in the Ochoco Mountains, we were surprised to find nothing even after a long and arduous climb up the mountain. Once it started to snow we were ready to admit defeat, and eat some PB&J’s: the ultimate sandwich of surrender. Once on the banks of the Ochoco Reservoir Brittany found a few pieces of jagged brown stone, which she could tell was hiding blue jasper beneath its unremarkable exterior. Suddenly we were seeing it everywhere, and even found a boulder of the stuff larger than Albus. We don’t know much about how this material was formed, or how it arrived on the edge of the artificial body of water, but we do know that it cabs up like a dream.
